History of the Vincent MPH

In 1896 the Englishman Thomas Hyler White developed a design for a car that could be assembled at home and technical designs were published in a magazine called The English Mechanic.

In 1962 Lotus produced the Lotus Elan which could also be bought as a Kit of parts, ie, kitcar. So Self build or self assembley or kit cars are in the British psyche !!

The Vincent MPH brings the British passion for kit cars together with a classic British sports car – the Riley MPH. In production now for a great number of years the Vincent Car ( no relation to the Vincent Motorcycles ) has been fitted with a variety of power plants, Triumph, Lotus, Alfa, Fiat, Ford & Toyota.

The original concept was inspired by the Riley MPH model of 1973 and this Facsimile whilst not a true replica does appeal to Riley enthusiasts all over the world. Our customer base does like to keep things simple and therefore the Vincent usually still runs with a Carburettor and Points ignition, no fancy complicated and expensive electronics in this model ( unless it is required by the customer ).

It has gained an excellent reputation for Style, reliability, quality & simplicity of build, to date there are no unbuilt models in exhistance as far as we know !!.
