| HISTORY OF THE VINCENT MPH This design is now more than 25 years old since it first set a wheel on public roads in 1984. Early models ( Mk1 up to 1987 ) and since then the MkII version which differs from the MkI by having a more complex stiffer chassis, foot wells, doors, folding windscreen, polished cast aluminium radiator surround, revised suspension layout and lighter wheels. This all adds up to a sports car with good handling characteristics and a pleasure to drive. These improvements are reflected it the different values of second-hand cars. SAFETY Our cars are built to the standards required by the German TUV Type of Approval and are currently undergoing changes to conform with the SVA testing procedure. |

BUILD TIME Option 2 The Vincent can be supplied to you with virtually everything prepared, except painting, and would be very easy to complete within a three week holiday. Option 3 Bearing in mind that one person can build a complete car in five weeks from start to finish it really depends how much time you have available. STARTER COMPONENT PACKAGE This comprises a chassis which is fully bracketed and painted with the main section of the body tub and its aluminium bonnet panels, stainless hinge and radiator surround all made to size and fitted. That then makes the rest of the car a simple nut and bolt exercise. |

LUGGAGE SPACE The rounded boot is your luggage space which can also house the spare wheel. Also we have a very neat stainless carrier which can carry a large suitcase or "Picnic Hamper". CHASSIS Our chassis are very stiff by comparison with most because of its diagonal cross sections which gives the Vincent its rattle Free, positive handling character. REGISTRATION When cars are built from all new parts then a new car registration will be issued. On cars using some old parts then there is a set of guide lines issued by the DVLA for The registration of Rebuilt or Radically altered vehicles. These guide lines are just that are open to interpretation by an inspector should the DVLA wish to inspect your vehicle, whereupon a registration will be issued. This category of vehicles also has to have a normal MOT certificate BEFORE it goes on the road. After that the usual insurance and road fund licence will put you on the road. INSURANCE Cars are in approximately Group 7 for 1600cc and group 9 for 2000cc. Some times at renewal this can be added to an existing policy. Ask the insurers about limited mileage polices where the costs are rarely more than £250.00. LHD Left hand drive is available for export vehicles. |
| We have a mixed range of used parts in stock for Kitcars,Ford axle diff`s, Classic Lucas switches, Wiper motors,& some race car bits. Please have a look on this page to see what is currently available. |
